About the Wallet

David Metcalf, a native New Zealander has lived in Indonesia for a total of 16 years. Based in Bali for the past 12 years, he is a professional photographer and has travelled extensively all over Indonesia, and has been working with indigenous communities in Kalimantan, Bali and Sumba. His focus over the past few years apart from photography has been on indigenous education, youth development, film making, art, indigenous tourism and bringing people together from different cultures, communities and countries through The togetherness project which he founded in 2020 during the Covid crisis.
